TEHRAN – During the 11th meeting of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA) Organizational Governance Committee on Sunday, the attendees voiced the chamber’s support for enterprises’ implementation of corporate governance mechanisms.

As the TCCIMA portal reported, in this meeting, which was chaired by the head of the mentioned committee Hossein Forouzan-Fard, the ways of empowering the members of the TCCIMA to apply corporate governance mechanisms were reviewed and analyzed.

“The request of all the committees in the Tehran Chamber of Commerce is to obtain the classified information about the members within a reasonable time frame to come up with new ways to improve the capacity of the legal entity members of the TCCIMA by integrating information about them,” Forouzan-Fard said.

In the first step, a small statistical population can be introduced to provide empowerment mechanisms and apply the necessary reforms according to the received feedback, the official explained.

“It is also possible to choose companies with a history of more than 40 years as the first statistical population and define and provide special incentives and services for these companies,” he added.
